The design of hair nets and bouffant caps is markedly different. Hair nets, with their honeycomb design, provide a snug fit suitable for short to medium-length hair. Bouffant caps have a more generous fit, with elasticated edging to accommodate all hair volumes, making them ideal for individuals with long hair.
Hairnets are made of nylon, or polyester mesh and they mat down the user's hair. Nylon hairnets are typically not as noticeable, however, if you look closely, you will notice they look like a web.
There are several different styles, including flat (non-pleated) bouffants, pleated bouffants, mob caps, combination bouffant and beard covers, clip caps, charlotte caps, and peaked bouffant caps.
